Our members provide one-on-one mentoring support to enhance each student’s educational and personal development. A comprehensive curriculum, which includes career-oriented workshops and cultural activities, paid summer internships with local business partners, and financial aid for educational scholarships, computer equipment and school supplies, complements our mentoring outreach.

Financial support for CAMEO’s philanthropic program comes overwhelmingly from the community. CAMEO’s annual budget is funded primarily through one event, an auction and fashion show extravaganza.

Because we are a professional group of working women, our regular meetings and mentor activities are conducted monthly on Saturday mornings or weekday evenings at the Assistance League of Long Beach Philanthropic Center. Any woman who is employed or recently retired and has a desire to support the youth of Long Beach through mentoring is welcome to join us.

Please contact the Assistance League of Long Beach at (562) 627-5650 for further information about membership in CAMEO or for tickets to the Fashion Show.
