The Kids on the Blockis an educational puppet program, designed to develop positive attitudes about issues of social concern, that has been performed before more than 8,000 children and seniors.
Our puppeteers also perform for seniors on the subject of aging and strokes. Assistance League puppeteers visit local schools and other venues in response to requests for specific performances on topics such as bullying and teenage pregnancy.
Children and seniors view, learn and enjoy educational puppet programs that address social, behavioral and health concerns. Volunteer puppeteers perform shows for school age children or seniors in group settings.
The Kids on the Block puppet shows are an important outreach to the community. Puppet show topics address significant areas of recognized character development and show the value of education. They provide unique educational opportunities on topics that are current and important to positive interpersonal behavior and acceptance of differences and diversity.
